This will be at 9.30am on the main concourse of B’ham New Station by the Pret A Manger outlet.

Transport Details

Depart:- B’ham New St 09.52(Platform 11A) Arrive:- Hinckley 10.30(Platform 1)

Trains returning from Hinckley leave 37mins past the hour(ie 18.37) arriving back in New St at 15mins past the hour(ie 19.15). Last train leaves Hinckley at 22.39 The best option for tickets i think is to purchase an Off Peak Return at a cost of £13.65 this allows people the flexibility if they need to leave early etc. When we arrive in Hinckley we have a 10 minute walk to the Crescent Bus Station where we will then catch either the No.48 or 158 bus from stand CD to Harrowbrook Road with a 2 min walk to Elliswood Brewery hopefully arriving just before 11.15am.

A. Elliswood Brewery, Southways Industrial Estate, 3, Coventry Rd, Hinckley LE10 0NJ Meet Darren Lavender who will give us a brewery tour followed by sampling of beers.

From the brewery we will head back into Hinckley using the same bus etc and visit the following pubs in this order.

B. White Bear, Coventry Rd, Hinckley LE10 0JT Steamin Billy Beers plus up to 4 guest ales

C. Baron Of Hinckley, 5-7 Regent St, Hinckley LE10 0AZ Wetherspoons, We will stop here for food(due to being fairly quick/priced)

D. Queens Head, 40 Upper Bond St, Hinckley LE10 1RJ (GBG) Freehouse, with 4 changing beers local & national

E. Weavers Arms, Derby Rd, Hinckley LE10 1QE Free of Tie, Marstons Beers plus 3 guest ales.

F. The New Plough Inn, 24 Leicester Rd, Hinckley LE10 1LS (GBG) 3 Changing guest beers

G. The Pestle & Mortar, 81 Castle St Hinckley LE10 1DA (GBG) 5 Changing Real Ales and up to 15 Ciders

H. Elbow Room Ale & Cider House, 26 Station Rd LE10 1AW (GBG) Up to 6 beers from UK micro breweries & 8 Real Ciders

We will have a short walk back to Hinckley Railway Station to head back to Solihull etc
